Our rates are based on a sliding scale system
We use an income based fee structure for all appointments. We will never ask you for proof of your income at anytime and we will happily make adjustments to the fee you are charged if your financial situation changes, no questions asked. For relationship therapy, please consider the combined income of all parties in the relationship.
Please be aware that all in-person therapy will incur an additional $20 fee per session.
We are a full-fee private practice
At Unison all of our services are full-fee and payment is required within 14 days of receiving an invoice. We put great effort into providing a very high quality service for all clients and work hard to ensure that our rates are as affordable as possible for every single client. Please read below to learn more about our fees and services.
At this time the Australian Medicare system does not provide rebates for counselling or relationship-based support. Rebates are eligible only for registered psychologists, social workers, and some occupational therapists. Psychotherapists, counsellors, and relationship therapists are not included in the mental health care scheme. All of our team at Unison are registered with the appropriate body and maintain regular access to professional development and best-practice standards.
Private Cover
If you are attending therapy with Meg, we are able to offer a provider number for the following private health funds –
Bupa, Medibank, AHM, ARHG, Police Health Fund, Emergency Services Health, Phoenix Health, St Lukes Health, GMHBA, CUA Health, Teachers Unison Health, AIA and Westfund. Please be aware that coverage and rebate amount may be limited by your specific plan, contact your health provider to ensure you are covered prior to making an appointment. Please let our admin staff know if you need a provider number for the rebate.
Afterpay
We are happy to offer Afterpay as a payment method for appointments when needed.
Concession
While we are unable to provide medicare rebates for the mental healthcare plan we do offer a limited number of concession slots available for clients with a concession card or healthcare card or full-time students. Please write to us directly if you would like to be put on our concession waiting list. (Please be aware that there is a 6-month wait period of concession clients currently)

Cancellation Policy
Any session for individual or relationship therapy booked with Unison Counselling can be cancelled or changed up to 24hrs prior to the scheduled date/time. Please email us or access your appointments via the Halaxy portal.
If a client is a no-show or cancels within the 24hr window of the scheduled time they may incur the full fee of the session as charged automatically via the saved credit card.
